So, I have to say it. I am SO happy that Obama won. I truly feel a spring in my step and hope in my heart. A quiet Obama supporter here is now shouting from the mountain tops ( or at least my keyboard!) In a HIGHLY McCain supported area we had our sign stolen and several comments made to us that were hurtful. Even in my daughter’s class, the tension was high.
But as a military family, a husband in the union and a mom with a special needs child, he was the right choice for my family and now for the country! I am SO excited. I feel like I need to do more in my life and that we are greater than fear and I am reminded of a quote that I held on to when Scott was in Iraq.
“Courage is fear that has said it’s prayers”
God Bless America and God Bless You!

I am so sorry that you had horrible and mean things said to you. We were the McCain supporters in a sea of Democrats, but thankfully we did not have to deal with that! Horrible! Congrats, love the pumpkin!
I voted for Obama too. Actually this was my first time voting, because of him.
