What has been keeping me so busy these days?  A lot of family stuff! One upcoming event that I am super excited about is the Diva Quest Competition one week from tomorrow!  Savana is one of the ten finalists that will be performing. It has been a really amazing and will prove to be a defining moment for Savana and many of these girls.  Not for fame and fortune by any means. It is about the experience!  The women from Riverport Chorus have been mentoring her and coaching her have been a breath of fresh air!  They are so encouraging and positive. The contestants have been coached on everything from their voice to their wardrobe. Encouraging them in a loving and nurturing manner that has only made them better.  They are building confidence and finding out what they really are capable of.  That doesn’t always happen in the hustle and bustle of choir concerts, festivals and music classes. This is such a rare opportunity. Savana’s song has a powerful message and I can’t wait to see her share it on stage!  There will also be a performance by a very talented acapella group, the Madhatters from UW Madison.
