Busy Week!!

8 / 10 / 06

It has been a little while again. I guess I have to get in the habit. Busy week!! But what’s new??? My parents are moving back!! Can you believe that?? They left 5 years ago to retire to Arkansas and now they miss us so much they are moving back. My life is going to get so much better!! the thought of them being a 25 minute drive away really warms my heart!! Sunday dinners, Packer games, shopping, help from Dad on projects and my children will be able to just “hang out” with their grandparents. What a true blessing!!

Okay, design team projects are due today!! I have one done and about 3 to go. I have had so much fun being on our design team!! I got to design for OTB this month, we’ll see if any of my layouts made it. Here’s a sneak peek! Enjoy!!

Baseball, Scrapping and Kids!- A Perfect Day!

7 / 24 / 06

What a GREAT day I had yesterday. My nephew was elected to the All- Star Team and I took Savana and Sofie to see him play at Miller Park. It was so exciting. Having girls who aren’t into that, I see I have been missing out on that whole thing. I was jumping up and down and cheering like he was my kid!! They lost, but they played really well. Now, I can use that baseball kit I’ve been wanting to try out!!LOL!!

Then we came home and Scott had finished the crown moulding. It looks so nice. I LOVE my scrap space. It was a beautiful summer day and we had the screen up. The breeze was blowing in and I had my Kid’s Crop. It was so fun to see these talented kiddies using their Out of the Box kits.

Afterwards, since we still had that baseball “buzz” we started a game of our own in the backyard. It was so much fun!! Sometimes with having my own business, I forget to do that. Just have fun an enjoy the blessings God had given us!

We ended the day with a grilled salmon dinner- that Scott caught the day before on a fishing trip. What a PERFECT summer day!!

I am in LOVE

7 / 12 / 06

with my NEW stamps!! I had so much fun making layouts and cards today! I always shyed away from stamps, but I am in LOVE with the acrylic ones! I didn’t like the error margin with the others and these are so fun. I really like the way the white ink looks on dark cardstock. Can you tell?? These are for design team. These make great little Make and takes too!

Never Been MORE desperate to Scrap!

6 / 17 / 06

I am sick and I am tired!!!!! All I want to do is scrapbook and get ready for my trip to Philly!! But I am not feeling well. After trips to the doctor and bloodwork and xrays, there isn’t a clear answer. I am just glad the pain has subsided.

Anyway, who wants to hear that junk!! I was supposed to be in BEAUTIFUL Door county this weekend teaching and I had to cancel! We have rescheduled for July, but it broke my heart to have to post pone it!!

So, I am doing all I can to get better for the trip to leadership. I can’t wait to see Rex and Katrina! You could not find a better team to work with. I can’t wait to see the NEW PRODUCT!! Katrina is an amazing designer! I’ll be sure to post pictures as soon as I have them!

Cheers!
Sarita

Finally Organized!!

6 / 14 / 062 / 5 / 18

WOW! We spent so much time in my cottage this past weekend and it has paid off!!  We stained the cabinets, Scott made an awesome shelf that I saw in Creating Keepsakes.  He is such an AWESOME hubby!!  All I did was show him the picture and the article and he was all over that!  I am so lucky that he is handy that way!  I bought some great organizers for my drawers too, so everything has a place!

It is so nice now all I want to do is SCRAP and that’s a good thing because I have a lot to get ready for! The Scrapper’s  Delight in Door County and I still have design team assignments to finish.  They are putting in the concrete in front of my cottage today, which will be much LESS dangerous in the winter and the girls can play right out front my “studio” One problem, I will have to climb out the window to be able to work in there. Wish me luck! I will post my projects when I am done!

My Cropping Cottage

1 / 30 / 06

I LOVE MY SCRAP SPACE which I call my “Cropping Cottage” Funny, I started out calling it Scrap Shack, but then as it took form it was turning into a little cottage.

I spent a good deal of time out there yesterday organizing cleaning and planning for my upcoming classes. I am so blessed to have SUCH a supportive husband. Not only did he “let me” take over his workshop to turn it into a scrap oasis, ( well he was in Iraq at the time so he didn’t have a choice) he is SO awesome about me spending time working out there!! When I was out there he made dinner, cleaned the house and took care of the kids. Well, I did have my 7 yr old Savana out theree for a bit. She was putting cards together from a QVC TSV a little while back. She was so cute. Even though those tiny brads kept falling and then we could barely get the buggers opened it was nice just spending time with her! I am by far the luckiest woman alive!!

When I am in my space whether I have my CD’s blaring or my soaps on TV(LOL!!) I am all about creating and expressing myself! There is no better stress relief for me. I LOVE to surround myself with all things that are ME!! flowers, toile, vintage and shabby chic. I have tried to fight it, but after purchasing a 100 year old farm house I must confess, I am a country girl! But I do have a modern country style, no cornflower blue or hearts HA!! I have some FABULOUS ideas for decorating but you’ll have to tune in to see or if you are in the area sign up for one of my classes!! complete schedule

I have no clue

12 / 27 / 05

Funny! I just got this thing going. I have no clue what I am going to do with this blog. However, it just seems like a fun thing to do. The Christmas Haze is lifting and the last of the Mod Podge has been scraped off my finger nails- who needs a manicure right? Can you tell I made some of my gifts for others. I just love doing that! Matter of fact I am planning my future projects and classes and will post soon!
