Close to my Heart is Awe-Inspiring!

So, I was looking for one word to describe my recent experience at our Close to my Heart convention. I came up with luxurious, hilarious, creative, entertaining, enjoyable, awesome and impressive to name a few.  But none of them were good enough. So, I settled on

Awe-inspiring!
For 5 days we were beyond spoiled as far as our accomodations.  We stayed in one of the most luxurious hotels in the U.S, the Gaylord National. With an 18 story atrium, it was impressive to say the least. I would have been happy to be in a Motel 6 as long as I was getting a break. Seriously, a felt a little guilty, just a little.
I am SO grateful that I get this invitation from CTMH every year to attend this pinnacle event.  Did you know every consultant does?  They even make it affordable by offering a payment plan.  I think you will see it was absolutely worth the investment!
Let’s talk about time with friends.  My husband would tell me at any time I could go away with my friends. Not only I could, but I should. I think he says that because he knows I would NEVER do that on my own accord.  So, once a year I get the ULTIMATE girl’s weekend, with creative time, education and more fun than grown women should be having! I was super excited to reunite with Melissa. We haven’t seen each other since Regionals in Minnesota last October. Plus, my team member and friend, Trudy was able to go with me too. It was SO fun watching her experience her first convention.
The best part was meeting all of Melissa’s team. They welcomed us as adopted team members with open arms and gifts!  How often can you get 13 or so women together and have NO DRAMA!  Everyone got along so well and already we can’t wait for next year.  We got to be silly and laugh till our sides hurt.  I can tell you this is better than any therapy you can get.
In addtion to business and creative classes, we got to spend 4 hours at Extravaganza!  It was so fun seeing what each instructor had to offer and the oodles of artwork boards. I walked away with so many ideas and can’t wait to start trying them  We learned how to use our larger size flip flaps, Mix and Mingle album and many other NEW products that you will see in the new autumn Idea Book. Of course my favorite class was Melissa’s, Boutique Chic.  She had the most creative ideas, you could barely believe her projects were made with paper!
There is no doubt in my mind that Close to my Heart truly wants us to succeed and believes in us!
WE are Close to my Heart
Fly on the wings of CREATIVITY
A community built on HEART
The framework for SUCCESS
SOAR like a butterfly
Wear the CROWN of your ACHIEVEMENTS!
I was so proud to see 2 of my CTMH BFF’S get rewarded for theirs!
No one deserves it more. Anyone who can build a business in Iraq with so much gusto and enthusiasm certainly earned this title! Did you know Rising Stars get $1,000 cash too? Now that’s scapalicious!
The biggest surprise was when Melissa after being named #6 for recruiting was announced as an Advisory Board Member.  I am so proud of her accomplishments and thrilled that we got to celebrate that moment together!
The weekend came to a close with an awesome Closing Banquet that included entertainment from Anita Renfroe- too funny and a surprise appearance from a famous artist who crated this painting of Jeanette Lynton right before our eyes in 5 minutes.
I loved when she said some people are like slinkies, you just want to push them down the stairs! She is such an awesome comedian.  You might know her from “the Mom Song”
So, I think after all that you can agree with my one word choice. If you want to be awe-inspired come back for more as I share artwork and ideas from convention.
Until Next Time-
Be Blessed!
Sarita

  1. So glad I got the chance to meet you at convention (though you met so many people I'm sure!) See you next year at Disney!

  2. It was a fun Convention. But, I never saw you last week! I did run into Melissa a few times, but just thought you weren't able to make it. Hopefully, next year in Disney.
