My First Blog Award! I am SO Honored!

6 / 16 / 09

I received this award today from Paige over at Paige’s Paper Paradise – she is also listed in My CTMH Sisters sidebar on the right. I am really honored that anyone reads my blog really. I have been doing this blog thing for awhile now, but I did it for me. When I look back at my posts I see how I have grown as a consultant, an artist, a mother and a wife. I am really happy that by sharing a piece of myself that others might be inspired or encouraged as well. So, thanks Paige! I really am honored!

Now, the really fun part is that I get to award 5 people!

The rules of this award are:

1. Accept the award, post it on your blog along with a link to the person who gave it to you.

2. Pass the award on to 5 other blogs you’ve recently discovered.

Leave a message on their blog so they know they’ve won an award.

Melissa

Amy

Thanks ladies for sharing yourselves with all of us! I am having so much fun getting to know all of you!

I am SO Thankful! The Day I Only Dreamed About!

6 / 12 / 09

Today was a day I really have only dreamed about. I watched Sofie walk by herself across the stage to receive her kindergarten graduation diploma.

I am SO proud of her. She has worked so hard and always gives 150%! I am so amazed by her. This is the same little girl that even 2 years ago in E.C. only wanted to play with her school bus. She had no interest in other children or what was happening around her. Autism had a hold of her.

With this intensive in home therapy she is breaking out of it and becoming the Sofie she was meant to be. The team of teachers, aides and therapists have all worked so hard with her and I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I am so thankful for these people who are angels. To see the love and support they have for my little girl leaves me feeling so thankful and SO very blessed! They cheered right along with me, maybe even louder!!
They have encouraged her and helped helped her bloom into this beautiful flower. She turns 7 on Sunday and today she had her first birthday party with friends. 4 little girls from her class came over after school and we made mini scrapbooks and played outside and I couldn’t stop smiling! This has been one of the best days of my entire life! Thank you God! All glory to Him!

5 / 31 / 09

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring June’s SOTM, which is Tender Tags, a set of 15 stamps. If you have come here from
Cibele’s Blog, you are on the right path! If this is your first stop, you may want to go back to Jena’s Blog and start from the beginning!
***
This month we have 45 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month’s SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do – just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I LOVED making this card with our new Wishes Card Confidence Book. It was so fun to follow the pattern and make a circle card. Did you know there was a CD included on the inside back cover of the book?

Products Used:
9033 Wishes Card Confidence Book
x7095 Boom Di Ada Level 2 paper pack
1386 Black Cardstock
z130 Just Blooms Paper Flowers
z1039 Delta Create a Shade Pearl Paint
z1034 Black Collection Designer Ribbon Rounds
z2105 Black Ink
z2153 Sweet Leaf Ink ( used over the pearl paint on the paper flower)
z2101 Autumn Terracotta Ink

And of course the Stamp Set:
D1350 Tender Tags
THEN….I got to thinking about an envelope and grabbed a CD/DVD envelope and did this! Not only is it a super inexpensive way to show off your card it is SO fun to make. I haven’t had time to investigate if you really could mail it. If you find out, please leave a comment here and let me know.

Now “Hop” on over to Jena’s Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the June SOTM is only available until June 30th!

Good Bye May- Hello JUNE!

5 / 29 / 09

I will be so excited to see June 1st on the calendar. May was a pretty wild month that ended with my in-laws in town, a sprained ankle and a BIG combined birthday party for the girls. We had a blast but I am ready for quieter days.
I am sad to say goodbye to the blooms on my crab apple tree and my lilacs.

But I am willing to trade that for lazy days with kids off of school, softball games and Savana’s famous snow cones! Oh and my kids classes. They always inspire me so!

June also means a NEW Stamp of the Month and a FUN BLOG HOP! What is a blog hop? On June 1st I will be linking my blog with 45 other AWESOME CTMH consultants to offer you a chance to see all of the great things that you can do with the June Stamp of the Month: Tender Tags (featured in the picture above).
Be sure to visit me that day to see the super fun Thanks card that I created with that set and a pattern from our brand new Wishes book. You will be SO inspired! I can’t wait!
