So I got a pretty awesome camera for Christmas! I am SO excited. I have been SO frustrated using my other one. So, this one is HD and has face detection and a lot more. I have A LOT to learn about this thing. One of my goals for 2009 is to take better pictures. So, this should help!
So, here is a picture of me taking a picture of me taking a picture of me. Does that make sense?
Such a proud moment. Sofie was a shepherd in her Sunday School program yesterday. I knew they would sing a few songs, but the shepherd costume just did me in. Watching her sing “Yes, Jesus loves Me” ans Away in a manger I was a wreck. Someone should have warned me so I could have brought a box of tissue! Anyone else watching this video will not be impressed. But as a mom of an autistic child I am beaming with pride and amazed at Sofie’s determination. It must run in the family LOL! She was squeezing my hand really hard so I knew she was scared, but she did it anyway. GO SOFIE!! She didn’t sing the loudest or draw the most attention, but she was there! That is all I could ask for. So when she did try to sing along and do the hand movements I was beyond touched. All GLORY TO GOD! She would not have been able to do that even 1 yr ago. But He has put her in the best hands ever and I could not be more grateful!!!That is all the Christmas I need!
So, I have to say it. I am SO happy that Obama won. I truly feel a spring in my step and hope in my heart. A quiet Obama supporter here is now shouting from the mountain tops ( or at least my keyboard!) In a HIGHLY McCain supported area we had our sign stolen and several comments made to us that were hurtful. Even in my daughter’s class, the tension was high.
But as a military family, a husband in the union and a mom with a special needs child, he was the right choice for my family and now for the country! I am SO excited. I feel like I need to do more in my life and that we are greater than fear and I am reminded of a quote that I held on to when Scott was in Iraq.
God Bless America and God Bless You!
