Put the Splendor in your Scrapbook Business With Workshop Kits

8 / 4 / 10

Have you ever created a workshop or class from scratch? It’s fun right? You get to scour the internet for hours being inspired by blogs, tutorials and videos.  You get to design the layouts or cards and work with great materials.  Then you have to create some sort of instruction or guide sheet in case a student gets lost.   That can be a grueling task.  Sometimes you end up wondering is all that work worth it. Then you conduct the class or workshop and everyone is happy and pleased with your work.

All you can think about is planning the next one. It can be tiring and that’s where a lot of people who LOVE to scrapbook and decided to make it a business burn out.  They might not even get their own scrapbooking done and that is just SAD!

Did you know that as a CTMH consultant our art and marketing department does all the work for you? Seriously! You order the workshop kit, follow the instructions, add your personal touch or spin on it.  Then you show it to everyone you know, because who doesn’t love to see great art? Then you order kits for them, show them HOW to put it all together and put the profit in your pocket.

********************************************************************************************

Here is another GREAT workshop “Splendor” designed by CTMH and I just love it!

splen·dor   /ˈ–noun

1. brilliant or gorgeous appearance, coloring, etc.; magnificence: “the splendor of the palace.”

I just threw this in here, because I love the names that CTMH comes up with and it absolutely describes this paper.

Here is the layout that CTMH did:

They even give us these gorgeous pics for marketing.

Here is what I did. I didn’t want all of the white space, so I used the leaf on the stamp set, that is included in the kit and added a border.  It really brought out the green in the photos. You can see I also used a different theme as I didn’t have Sand, Surf and Sun pictures.

You can add fun things like the Glitz Glitter Gel for some bling.
This is the bonus layout.  Support materials are online for consultants in our Online Office and on our websites for our customers.  You can choose to make addtional cards as well.
To add even more completed projects to my list I purchased the My Stickease for $4.95. I simply turned it over and followed the layout on the back.
Again, this same layout is shown online in full color, so there is even more support for you.
Splendor brads are a fun way to dress up your stickers.
I made another super cute project, so come back tomorrow and I’ll share that with you.  I hope you leave here inspired and with the realization that “kits” are not a bad word in the scrapbook dictionary.  They take a lot of pressure off our new and veteran scrapbookers as well as the consultant who teaches them.
Have I convinced you? Are you ready to take the plunge? You can purchase your kit right here and have it delivered right to your door.
Even better, sign up to be a consultant today and enjoy a generous 22% discount on all of our scrapbooking kits.
You can add Splendor to your MEGA PAPER SALE order today!  Pick up some paper packs at $6 and My Stickease for $2 and see what magic you can create!
Blessings-

Divide and Conquer Your Disney Layouts with Close to my Heart

7 / 30 / 10

When I first saw the new Zippidee paper from Close to my Heart  I knew it was going to be prefect for my Disney vacation photos. I think all of us who have gone and are scrapbookers have probably taken way too many photos and you don’t even know what to do with them.  Maybe I can inspire you….
Disney trip 2004

Here I used the Zippidee Workshop Kit which includes a Zippidee Level 2 Paper Pack (12 pattern papers and 10 cardstock sheets) a sheet of Stars Dimensional Elements and an awesome stamp set, Ticket to Ride. All of that for only $29.95. I also added in the Fancy Fuzz and the Holiday Craft Buttons.  Just by following the included pattern and instructions I was able to craft this layout.

A close up of the Stars Dimensional Elements covered with patterned paper and added embellishemnts.

I grabbed some of the bonus papers left over. You will be able to complete many projects with these.

Adding the My Stickease and a simple pattern from our How to Books I made this is minutes. I love that our papers are double sided so I used the monochromatic polka dots instead of the bright and bold as I wanted the colors of the photos to be the accent colors.  Didn’t that work perfectly with the colors of the characters?
Did you know that on the back of the My Stickease sheets there are black and white photos of addtional layouts that you can create, again just by following the pattern they used. Did you also know that these same layouts are featured on the http://www.closetomyheart.com/ website Click here  to see their variations.  Here is one.
Click for larger view.
So using the same patterns and most of the same products, here is my version.
Cick for larger view.
I think the hardest part is highlighting the trip without having a separate layout for each attraction or character. So, in this layout I have Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. It really doesn’t matter.  Of course as soon as I get my journaling on there my readers will know as well.
Using these 12×12 Photo Storage Pages can solve that dilemma as well.
It was so easy to put this page together.
All I did was cut down my paper to 4×6 and slice about a 1/4′ off the photo and it was a perfect fit.  Then I used my favorite Lots of Dots Alphabet and inked it in black. I added a few dimensional stars, again left over from my Zippidee Workshop on the Go kit to fill in some space. For some added fun I simply punched out circles to highlight a few letters.  I left a section blank for journaling as well.
Now when you turn it over, I can easily add photos to the flip side. How easy is that?
You can also see that by sticking with a color scheme by book will have personality and cohesion no matter what pages I use.  Stay tuned for tommorrow when I show you 2 more layouts I did with the SAME workshop kit. If you are looking for value visit my website now and have this kit delivered right to your door.  Did I mention the basic kit is only $29.95?
See you tomorrow!

Close to my Heart is Awe-Inspiring!

7 / 16 / 109 / 8 / 15

So, I was looking for one word to describe my recent experience at our Close to my Heart convention. I came up with luxurious, hilarious, creative, entertaining, enjoyable, awesome and impressive to name a few.  But none of them were good enough. So, I settled on
Awe-inspiring!
For 5 days we were beyond spoiled as far as our accomodations.  We stayed in one of the most luxurious hotels in the U.S, the Gaylord National. With an 18 story atrium, it was impressive to say the least. I would have been happy to be in a Motel 6 as long as I was getting a break. Seriously, a felt a little guilty, just a little.
I am SO grateful that I get this invitation from CTMH every year to attend this pinnacle event.  Did you know every consultant does?  They even make it affordable by offering a payment plan.  I think you will see it was absolutely worth the investment!
Let’s talk about time with friends.  My husband would tell me at any time I could go away with my friends. Not only I could, but I should. I think he says that because he knows I would NEVER do that on my own accord.  So, once a year I get the ULTIMATE girl’s weekend, with creative time, education and more fun than grown women should be having! I was super excited to reunite with Melissa. We haven’t seen each other since Regionals in Minnesota last October. Plus, my team member and friend, Trudy was able to go with me too. It was SO fun watching her experience her first convention.
The best part was meeting all of Melissa’s team. They welcomed us as adopted team members with open arms and gifts!  How often can you get 13 or so women together and have NO DRAMA!  Everyone got along so well and already we can’t wait for next year.  We got to be silly and laugh till our sides hurt.  I can tell you this is better than any therapy you can get.
In addtion to business and creative classes, we got to spend 4 hours at Extravaganza!  It was so fun seeing what each instructor had to offer and the oodles of artwork boards. I walked away with so many ideas and can’t wait to start trying them  We learned how to use our larger size flip flaps, Mix and Mingle album and many other NEW products that you will see in the new autumn Idea Book. Of course my favorite class was Melissa’s, Boutique Chic.  She had the most creative ideas, you could barely believe her projects were made with paper!
There is no doubt in my mind that Close to my Heart truly wants us to succeed and believes in us!
WE are Close to my Heart
Fly on the wings of CREATIVITY
A community built on HEART
The framework for SUCCESS
SOAR like a butterfly
Wear the CROWN of your ACHIEVEMENTS!
I was so proud to see 2 of my CTMH BFF’S get rewarded for theirs!
No one deserves it more. Anyone who can build a business in Iraq with so much gusto and enthusiasm certainly earned this title! Did you know Rising Stars get $1,000 cash too? Now that’s scapalicious!
The biggest surprise was when Melissa after being named #6 for recruiting was announced as an Advisory Board Member.  I am so proud of her accomplishments and thrilled that we got to celebrate that moment together!
The weekend came to a close with an awesome Closing Banquet that included entertainment from Anita Renfroe- too funny and a surprise appearance from a famous artist who crated this painting of Jeanette Lynton right before our eyes in 5 minutes.
I loved when she said some people are like slinkies, you just want to push them down the stairs! She is such an awesome comedian.  You might know her from “the Mom Song”
So, I think after all that you can agree with my one word choice. If you want to be awe-inspired come back for more as I share artwork and ideas from convention.
Until Next Time-
Be Blessed!

July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop- Happy Forever

7 / 1 / 10

You will be “Happy Forever” everytime you look at this adorable hedgehog on this set! Then when you add the super sweet sayings it really makes my heart melt. Ever since I laid eyes on this I couldn’t wait to create!
Welcome to another Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. We will be featuring July’s  SOTM, which is happy Forever, a set of 9 stamps.
If you have come here from Brae’s Blog, you are on the right path!
This month we have almost 70 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month’s SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do – just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!
This is a mini pizza box that I found on Splitcoast Stampers.  I had so much fun playing with the vibrant colors in Zippidee and the cute little hedgie.  I used the tiny heart stamp that is included with the set to make the hair bow, the flower and leaves.  I added Pizzaz Irresistables for the title and some dimension.  This box is used a bit differently as it opens on the side and a mini album can be pulled out.  The idea was born of a mistake, but isn’t that how it usually happens?
I hope you enjoy hopping with Hedgie and enjoy all the great ideas I am sure you will find! Next you are off to Jen’s blog for some more inspiration.
Don’t forget to add this super fun stamp to your club or party order this month.  You can get it at a discount or for only $22.95! But it’s only available in July! Shop now or see your consultant.
Happy hopping and many blessings for a wonderful 4th of July weekend!

Inspiration for Change

6 / 28 / 10

I love my beautiful moss roses in front of my Creative Cottage. These colors are so vibrant that I couldn’t resist bringing that to my blog.  I like that Blogger is also giving some more creative freedom with customizable templates. So, what do you think?

(Stay tuned for some artwork with these colors as well).

I also have been inspired by the people I met over the weekend of my rummage.  I LOVE to meet new scrapbookers who are looking for classes and crops.  We don’t have a place close by in Waterford, so I am looking to fill that void. I realized that I have a purpose and God keeps sending amazing women my way to show me that. It really got me thinking and I am SO excited and working on a plan.  So, stay tuned for the details and thanks for sticking with me through all the ups and downs, ins and outs of this crazy life!

Don’t forget, there are only 3 days left of CTMH Jackpot June. Check it out here.

Blessings-
Sarita

What a Beautiful Mess!

6 / 28 / 10

He’s home! It’s been 3 weeks and he is finally home. I loved seeing this on my kitchen floor when I woke up this morning.  Some wives may not appreciate a load of laundry and gear dropped by their husband all over the floor.   Yep, it’s a mess, but it means my hubby is back from Army National Guard training!  I could also smell the coffee brewing, that I didn’t have to make.  If you look closer you can see Sofie’s pink Barbie cars, which means she is not too far from Daddy wherever he may be.  She just adores her Daddy.

This translates to me getting my life back to normal. In one week I will be leaving for  CTMH Convention in Washington DC. 5 days to party with my CTMH sisters! Whoo hoo! We will also learn about new programs, new product and create, create, create! I am so excited! I just LOVE being a part of this sisterhood. I may never be a millionaire but I am RICH with wonderful relationships with strong, indepedent, FUNNY, caring and sweet women.  See you in DC!

Decorative Flip Top Box and Cards

6 / 9 / 10

Making boxes from paper seems so magical to me. You just cut, score, fold, and voila! You have a box!  I chose to stick with a masculine tone for these thank you’s.  After all, I am sure there is a special man that you would like to thank for something. But the box is mine to keep, so I couldn’t resist the ever popular paper flower.
This is our club project on Monday June 21. RSVP and you can make the project for a $5 guest fee.  Come and learn more about our club and why it would be the perfect fit for you!
I am also offering this as an individual class. Click here for more info.
Don’t forget, the Mom and ME Father’s Day Workshop is tonight!
Plus, there is a deal a day on my website. Don’t miss it!
The last full day of freedom before summer vacation begins! Enjoy!!
